Award Criteria

Graduate student must be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program at the time of nomination. Each college must set its own submission guidelines. The college should inform departments of its timeline to allow sufficient time for departments to submit nominations to the college for review and selection of the top master’s and doctoral students. College must submit name of recipient and description of accomplishments to the Graduate School by 5 pm, January 29, 2018.

Award winners receive a certificate and $500 for each category, by college.

Outstanding Master's Student Form

Outstanding Doctoral Student Form

  • Completed notification form with signature of college dean or designee confirming selection of one outstanding master’s student and one outstanding doctoral student, per college
  • Description of the specific criteria used by the college to select the top master’s student and top doctoral student, per college
  • One-paragraph summary describing student’s achievements (Please attach when submitting nomination form)
