The Graduate School and many other departments and organizations on campus are here to assist you with the transition into your graduate program and support you along the way until you graduate. A number of orientation programs, events, and online guides are available to our students; information is presented in various formats so that you can pick and choose what serves your needs and interests best.

Blacksburg Orientation for New Graduate Students

Departmental orientation programs - check in with your academic department or program to find out if they offer an orientation program.

International student orientation - An online immigration orientation is offered to all new international graduate students who can review it at their convencience. The Graduate School will offer many programs and activities for new international students to help you get settled in Blacksburg. Pre-arrival information is also available on our website.
