Graduate School programs are offered at several Virginia Tech campuses and facilities throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Some programs and classes are site specific, while others are available at more than one campus.

Note: International students on F1 or J1 student visas can only be admitted to the Blacksburg or National Capital Region campuses.

The Graduate School offers many programs and classes online. A full list of online programs can be found at the Virginia Tech Online website, and the Graduate School catalog.

This is the main campus of Virginia Tech’s Graduate School. It is home to the Graduate Life Center and most of the student body at Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech's Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church is currently the university's primary teaching location for graduate programs in the D.C. metro area.

The Innovation Campus Academic Building 1 in Alexandria is under construction and expected to open for spring 2025 classes. For information about the Innovation Campus programs, visit the Innovation Campus website.

 

The Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center (WAAC) serves as an urban extension of the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design, in the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design, and houses several programs.

The Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington (VTRC-A) is home to graduate programs in Data AnalyticsScience and Technology in Society, and the School of Public and International Affairs. Research programs around the theme of national security are also located there.

Virginia Tech and the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, in a partnership with Children's National Hospital, occupy 12,000 square feet of space on the hospital's research and innovation campus in Washington, D.C.

Roanoke is the home to the university’s ninth college, the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and the adjoining Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, which houses several graduate programs. Both stes are part of the VTC Health Sciences and Technology Campus in the Roanoke Innovation Corridor.
