International Graduate Student Services in the Graduate School provide immigration services to the nearly 1900 international graduate students enrolled in Blacksburg. Immigration advisors in the National Capital Region are also available to assist nearly 200 international students on that campus. We help students maintain their legal F-1/J-1 status in the U.S. and maximize the benefits their status affords.
International applicants are encouraged to apply early to allow for immigration processes and travel to the U.S. Allow at least 4 month receiving your I-20/DS-2019, visa application and travel.

All international student services, including immigration advising and services, for both undergraduate and graduate international students will be provided through Cranwell International Center. The IGSS website will remain the source of immigration information for international graduate students until it can be integrated into the Cranwell International Center website.
