Recruitment and Diversity Summit
Each year, just before the Fall semester starts, the Graduate School holds a recruitment and diversity summit meeting. The next one is scheduled for August 17, 2017, Graduate Life Center multipurpose room, 10:00 am-noon. Discussion topics include enrollment, the fall recruitment schedule, the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Summit, and more.
The purpose of the CSVP is to recruit competitive graduate students who identify as members of underrepresented groups and to implement effective retention strategies to integrate these students into the Virginia Tech community, while establishing and maintaining strong connections with faculty from minority serving institutions.
Virginia Tech Graduate & Professional School Fair
The Graduate Student Assembly hosts an annual recruitment fair typically held in late September in Squires Student Center. Colleges, departments, and programs are encouraged to purchase a booth to recruit VT students and students from the surrounding area.
