Dannette Gomez Beane joined the Graduate School in November of 2009. From 2006-2009, she served Virginia Tech as the Coordinator of Outreach and Career Development for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies Department of Building Construction, where she also taught Construction Spanish.

Before joining the faculty of Virginia Tech, Dannette worked as a career counselor for the Roanoke, Virginia nonprofit, Total Action Against Poverty; as the Assistant Director of Admissions for Hollins University; and as an Assistant Director for Americorps College Summit.

Dannette earned a master’s degree in counselor education from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Hollins University.
